From the Editors
The past month was a busy and exciting one for Every Day Fiction; on May 21st, we held our book launch for The Best of Every Day Fiction Three, which is now available for sale (see the book information page for shopping links to buy online, or ask your local bookseller to order it for you).
K.C. Ball, Gay Degani, J.C. Towler, and Peter Tupper read their stories at the event, and those readings were filmed so all of you could enjoy them too. We’re in the process of uploading the videos to our YouTube channel.
To start, here’s J.C. Towler reading his story “Bad Smile”:
The rest of the readings should be uploaded over the course of the day tomorrow… please keep checking back!
We had met K.C. and Gay and Peter at our first book launch back in January 2009, so it was lovely to see them again, and it was great to actually meet John in person since we work with him every day — in case you’ve forgotten, after having many stories published in EDF over our third year, John joined our team as a slush reader and was then promoted to editor during this fourth year that we’re in now.
We had a fabulous weekend full of writing talk and future plans and rather a lot of eating and drinking, and I’d like to take this moment to thank everyone who helped make the weekend special. And to those who couldn’t be there, we missed you, please come next year!
For Father’s Day on Sunday, June 19th, we’re featuring “Body Slam” by Howard Cincotta.
If you have a Kindle reader, did you know that you can subscribe to EDF on your Kindle? It’s a super convenient way to get your EDF fix, and the stories are fully downloaded onto your Kindle so you can access them wherever you choose.
We’re closing in on the end of our year… after this month, only July and August are left to round out our fourth year of publication. If you’re hoping to be eligible for our fourth anthology, there’s not a lot of time left — better send us something good, and quickly too!
