HAPPY 15TH BIRTHDAY, EVERY DAY FICTION!

Dear readers, authors, and friends,

Thank you for being here. Thank you for still being here, or for just joining us, or for coming back after a while. When Jordan and Steven and I started EDF in 2007, none of us thought it would still be going in five years, never mind fifteen. We’ve had some ups and downs, especially in the last couple of years, but Every Day Fiction is chugging along, heading into a sixteenth year. Sometimes it’s chaos, but we’ll keep on finding our way forward.

No words could adequately express my appreciation for Joe and Rosalie and John who do a phenomenal job of keeping the ship afloat, for my friends Jordan and Steven without whom EDF would never have gotten started, and for all the slush readers, editorial assistants, and others who’ve given time and energy to this little web magazine over the years. And of course, no magazine can exist without the authors who trust us with their stories.

If you’ve got time, take a moment and scroll through our Archives Index, maybe re-read a few stories from authors of past years. If you haven’t looked at the Top Stories page in a while, take a look and see what’s still holding a position from long ago and what new contenders have risen to the top.

Anyway, thanks. It might be a good excuse to have some cake today, right?

Sincerely,
Camille Gooderham Campbell
Managing Editor
