From the Editors
Whatever it is that you celebrate, we wish you all the joy of this winter holiday season. Peace and love to all.
We have now announced the list of stories to be included in The Best of Every Day Fiction Two, and the book launch is scheduled for January 30, 2010 in Vancouver, Canada — everyone is welcome to join us.
For Readers:
As always, we have a great lineup of new stories for you this month, including a fabulous selection for the Christmas week. If you’re travelling for the holidays, enjoy “Code Mustard” by Chris Allinotte. For deep thoughts and inspiration, we have “Song of Everything” by Oonah V Joslin and “Giant Snowflakes” by Mary Baader Kaley, and then we switch to something a little different with “Milk and Cookies” by Ty Johnston on Christmas Eve and “A Christmas Package” by Cathryn Grant on Christmas Day. Gay Degani‘s return to the writing side of EDF is sure to be a reader highlight on December 14th, and we’re pleased to introduce Tanya Byrne on New Year’s Eve with “Forever is a Locked Door”.
If you like to listen to stories instead of (or as well as) reading them, podcasts are up and running — check them out, and if you think you’d make a good voice actor, learn about submitting a podcast.

For Writers:
As you may have noticed, over the past month we’ve introduced a new login system using OpenID. Although there have been a few hiccups and the changeover wasn’t immediately embraced by everyone, it has by and large gone smoothly, and (in addition to better security for your private information) the new system has allowed our webmaster Steven Smethurst to introduce a fancy new author tracking system — now you can check online to see the status of your stories, and easily update your author profile and bio. You can learn more about OpenID on our forums.
