From the Editors

Well, it’s the start of a brand new year, and Every Day Fiction is entering January in a far stronger position than we’d ever  dreamed would be  possible. Apparently, there are a lot of people who enjoy an ultra-short taste of fiction every day!

What do we have in store for you this month? A heck of a lot of great fiction, of course! You can look forward to stories by new-to-EDF authors  such as  James Enge, Martin Cooney, and regular commentor DJ Barber. Also,  many of your favourite names  are back in our line-up, including  Sarah Hilary, Oonah V  Joslin, and Michael D. Turner, among others.

Last month, we had a little trouble nailing down our most interviewed author, so with a little luck, we’ll have two author-interviews for you this month. Keep your eye on this space around Jan 15th.

For Writers

We’ve been getting tons of great  contemporary/literary  submissions, but we’re a little low in the genre categories. If you have great fantasy, sci-fi, or horror flash, please consider sending it along–and we’re nearly always short of romance and humour as well. While we’ll never accept stories that don’t suit EDF, we do want to keep publishing a balance of different genres and styles, so our eyes are open for superior genre pieces.
